I've just read that Apple Records will be releasing some recordings that we've never heard before from the Let It Be era and from the Live on the Rooftop session. I'm really looking forward to listening to the version of "Don't Let Me Down" that I read is quite different. Inspired by that news, I've written a new arrangement for the most famous song from that album.
"Let It Be" Fingerstyle Guitar Lesson
This arrangement is fairly easy so if you're new to fingerstyle guitar, this is a good one to take on. That's not to say it's a beginner-level piece. As I say to many of my guitar students, what is a beginner song and an intermediate song is highly subjective. It all depends on where you are in your own development.
That being said, this arrangement stays in open position and uses familiar chord shapes that you are probably already familiar with, in the key of C.
The intro mimic's the piano in the original recording. The verses combine both the melody and the essence of the piano accompaniment.
