The first album of original music by Blue Morris, "Unlikely Rockstars," will be released September 17th!
We are throwing an album release party in which we will perform all the music from the album (and much more!) on Saturday September 17th at the Anza Club.
Buying a ticket gets you a free copy of the CD plus a download code to download high-quality MP3s. The CDs with download codes can only be picked up at the venue on the night of the show.
The album has ten original songs and was produced by Red Heartbreaker. The music has a vintage folk-rock vibe, loaded with sweetly driven guitars, thick vocal harmonies and vintage organ. Each song tells a story about regular Vancouver people who are all unlikely rockstars in their own ways.
The band features the same talented people you see Blue performing with on a regular basis:
- Red Heartbreaker - guitar, backing vocals
- Alex Kelley - bass, keys, backing vocals
- Eric Rasmusson - drums
- Franki Lemon - cello
After September 17th the album will be available on CD, iTunes, Bandcamp, and many other such digital places.

I'll be playing guitar with Elza at Studio Records in Vancouver again this July! The date is July 21st and this time we will be the headlining act.
I've been playing with Elza for about a year now and the band is getting really tight. All the music and lyrics are written by Elza. The band includes two guitars, cello, bass, drums, keys and of course Elza on vocals.
You can hear her music on Bandcamp. We will be playing all the songs from her "Glories" EP plus some new songs that have yet to be recorded.
The doors are at 8pm but I think we will be on around 9.30pm or 10ish. Hope to see you there!

Here is some new video from our show on Friday night. This is the Heartbreak Medley. I'm thrilled to get to play guitar in this project. What a killer show that was. It just keeps getting better. I can't wait to play the 68 show again!
68: The Show is a complete recreation of the 1968 Elvis TV special presented live on stage with Eli Williams and the Memphis sound. This is the third time we've done this show and we'll be doing it again!

SHINE: A Burlesque Musical is the award-winning, tassel-twirling original musical comedy that Time Out New York called “Rent for our generation.” I'll be playing guitar in the band and it's a real treat because these days it's rare to have a musical in Vancouver with a live band.
Some say Shine is "the HBO of live musical theatre! It's The Muppet Show for grownups."
You can enter to win tickets to the show thanks to the Georgia Straight. All you have to do is answer their skill-testing question on the Georgia Straight website.
Visit shinemusical.com for a video preview, event dates, and to find the answer to the skill-testing question. The winners will receive two vouchers which can be redeemed for tickets to opening night – July 6.

Tickets just went on sale today for SHINE: The Burlesque Musical. The show runs from July 6-16th at the WISE Hall. I am very excited to work as the Music Director for this show and to get to play guitar in the band.
TICKETS now available from Brown Paper Tickets!
This is an all-original rock and roll musical written by the Wet Spot's John Woods, Cass King, and with Sam Dulmage.
The story is about a burlesque theatre struggling to survive. It's a comedy, drama, and inspirational story with a fantastic rocking soundtrack that we get to play live in the show!
"Hands down more goosebumps per minute than any other show! It's RENT for our generation. The music is Broadway caliber. If it doesn’t go on to a longer run, there is no God." -Time Out New York
More info about the show can be found on the official SHINE website.
